About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and accomplished Lecturer I to join our esteemed Faculty of Nursing Science at our campus in Benin City, Edo State. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals through innovative teaching, comprehensive student supervision, and active research.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Community Health Nursing to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Supervise student research projects, clinical postings, and academic progress.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula to align with national and international academic standards.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
- Mentor students and provide guidance on academic, professional, and moral development in line with university values.
- Must possess a PhD in Community Health Nursing or a closely relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of three (3) years of cognate university teaching and research experience.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuing research and relevant academic publications in reputable journals.
- Proven competence in teaching, curriculum delivery, and effective student supervision.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for modern educational delivery.
- Possession of current professional registration and a valid practicing licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
