Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Nigeria's premier higher institution, is looking for a dynamic and dedicated professional to fill the position of Lecturer I within our vibrant Department of Civil Engineering under the School of Engineering. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), and degree-level engineering students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and instructional resources in line with modern civil engineering standards.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, research works, and industrial training attachments.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish peer-reviewed journal articles, and actively participate in academic conferences and seminars.
- Contribute to departmental administration, student mentoring, quality assurance, and institutional accreditation processes.
- Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline, with at least three (3) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, alongside required publications (conference papers, journal articles, and textbook chapters).
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline, with at least six (6) years of teaching, research, or relevant industrial experience, alongside required publications.
- Serving Lecturer II personnel with a minimum of three (3) years of satisfactory service and the requisite academic publications will also be considered.
