The University of Benin (UNIBEN), a premier federal university founded in 1970, is seeking a qualified and dynamic professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in Business Education. Situated within the Department of Vocational & Technical Education, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the intellectual growth of undergraduate and postgraduate students while advancing cutting-edge research in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical training in Business Education courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop, update, and review curriculum materials in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) standards and modern pedagogical trends.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and industrial training attachments.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committees, administrative duties, and community service initiatives.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progress, career development, and professional ethics.
- Possess a PhD or a Master's degree in Business Education or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of three (3) years of tertiary teaching and research experience.
- A strong publication record with a minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed academic publications.
- First-degree qualification must not be below a Second-Class Upper Division, OR a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a completed PhD.
