About the Role
Mewar International University (MIU) Nigeria, the first Indian university established on the African continent, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Lecturer I to join our esteemed Department of Biochemistry. Located strategically along the Abuja-Nasarawa corridor in Masaka, MIU bridges elite academic heritage with the dynamic industrial demands of Nigeria. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Biochemistry adhering to NUC standards.
- Design, update, and implement innovative curriculum content that blends theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-relevant skills.
- Conduct impactful research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and actively contribute to the university's academic reputation.
- Supervise undergraduate and graduate student research projects, dissertations, and academic assignments.
- Provide comprehensive academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, committee work, curriculum development, and university accreditation processes.
- Must possess a Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a closely related relevant discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 5 scholarly publications in reputable, peer-reviewed international or national journals.
- At least 3 years of verifiable teaching and research experience at the tertiary education level.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a student-centered learning environment and integrate technology into teaching.
