About the Role
Vision University, a newly established private, faith-based institution in Ikogbo Town, Ogun State, Nigeria, licensed by the NUC in 2023 and mentored by Lagos State University (LASU), is seeking a dedicated and academically rigorous professional for the role of Lecturer I in Accounting. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, high-quality undergraduate lectures and tutorials in various areas of financial and management accounting.
- Design, update, and evaluate course curricula in line with National Universities Commission (NUC) benchmarks and industry best practices.
- Conduct impactful academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student internships.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, committee work, curriculum development, and university accreditation exercises.
- Contribute to community service initiatives and university-wide events that promote the institution's core values.
- Possess a Ph.D. degree in Accounting or a closely related financial discipline from a reputable and accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification teaching and research experience at the university level.
- Demonstrated evidence of continuous scholarly publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ANAN, ACCA) is a distinct advantage.
