About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to join our academic community as a Lecturer I in Accounting within the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences at our Benin City campus.
As a Lecturer I, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students, and contributing to impactful academic research. You will collaborate with esteemed colleagues to uphold our standard of academic excellence and global relevance, utilizing modern teaching methodologies and technology.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, comprehensive lectures and tutorials in Accounting to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, course outlines, and assessment tools in line with NUC guidelines.
- Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and academic field activities.
- Conduct high-level academic research and publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committee meetings as well as academic administration duties.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
- Engage in community service and institutional advancement initiatives aligned with university values.
- Possess a PhD Degree in Accounting or a directly relevant academic discipline.
- Must have at least two (2) years of cognate university teaching or research experience.
- Provide verifiable evidence of scholarly potential, continuing research, and relevant publications in peer-reviewed outlets.
- Demonstrate high proficiency in ICT and modern e-learning platforms.
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Hold current professional certification and a valid practicing license in Accounting where applicable.
