About the Role

Doviana College of Education, an approved private tertiary institution by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) located in Gboko, Benue State, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer I. Our mission is to produce well-motivated teachers equipped with high personal and professional discipline, integrity, and competence to shape the future of education in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, facilitate tutorials, and mentor students in accordance with NCCE standards.
  • Design, update, and evaluate course curricula to ensure academic rigor and relevance.
  • Conduct high-level academic research and publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, teaching practice sessions, and academic dissertations.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, and community service initiatives.
  • Utilize e-learning technologies and computer-based tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree plus a Professional Diploma in Education (PDE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in a relevant discipline from a recognized university (a Ph.D. is an added advantage).
  • A Bachelor's Degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division in the relevant field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification teaching, research, or relevant professional experience in a tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
  • Current registration and practicing license with relevant professional regulatory bodies, where applicable.
  • Mandatory NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
  • Proven evidence of computer literacy and proficiency in modern e-learning technologies.
