About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) was established on March 14, 2024, with the mandate to improve the healthcare needs of Nigerians and increase manpower output in the sector. Evolving from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, FUAHSE now encompasses six faculties and seventeen departments. To combat the brain drain and meet the ever-changing demands of global healthcare delivery, we are seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer I to join our esteemed academic community and train proactive, skilled health professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Allied Health Sciences.
- Develop and update curriculum content in line with global best practices and national healthcare educational standards.
- Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student field placements or clinical rotations.
- Conduct high-impact research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic reputation of the university.
- Participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide committee meetings and administrative duties as assigned.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students to ensure their holistic development and professional readiness.
- Possession of a relevant Ph.D. or Master's degree (depending on the specific department) from a recognized university with strong academic credentials.
- Demonstrated experience in tertiary-level teaching, curriculum delivery, and academic research.
- Evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journals will be an added advantage.
- Must demonstrate high competence, professional integrity, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
