Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging undergraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in Mechanical Engineering courses.
- Develop and update course curricula, teaching materials, and assessment methods in line with academic standards.
- Supervise undergraduate student projects, research endeavors, and academic field work.
- Conduct cutting-edge research, publish scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to departmental growth.
- Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to foster personal and professional development.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committee works, accreditation exercises, and university community service initiatives.
- Possess a relevant academic qualification in Mechanical Engineering, preferably a Ph.D. or a Master's degree with demonstrable progress toward a doctorate.
- Demonstrated experience in tertiary-level teaching, academic research, and curriculum delivery.
- Strong publication record in reputable academic journals is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in modern engineering software, laboratory equipment, and digital learning management systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills suited for a diverse student body.
- Membership in relevant professional engineering bodies such as COREN is highly desirable.
