About the Role
Midis Energy Services, a pioneer in innovative oil and gas solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa since 2005, is seeking a dynamic and analytical Lead Specialist - Internal Audit. In this vital role, you will lead comprehensive internal audit engagements, ensuring the highest standards of financial reliability, risk management, and regulatory compliance while adding tangible value to our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct rigorous reviews to assess the accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls of various functional areas.
- Execute audit assignments and fieldwork in strict compliance with the approved yearly audit plan and department quality standards.
- Draft clear, impactful audit reports outlining observations, risks, root causes, and practical recommendations.
- Facilitate exit meetings with auditees and ensure timely management responses with actionable implementation timelines.
- Identify operational loopholes and recommend effective risk aversion and cost-saving measures.
- Support special investigations, advisory reviews, and management requests while maintaining strict objectivity and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Audit, Accounting, or a related major.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CFE, or DipIFR are a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in internal audit, risk management, or internal controls within the corporate sector.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in conducting both financial and operational audits.
- Excellent English communication skills with the flexibility to travel when required.
