About the Role
Airtel Africa is a leading telecommunications provider dedicated to enriching lives across the continent through innovative digital and mobile services. We are currently looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Lead, Service Compliance & Governance to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure our operations strictly adhere to regulatory directives, contractual obligations, and internal governance frameworks, directly safeguarding our reputation while elevating customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve 100% KYC compliance across end-to-end service delivery to prevent regulatory sanctions and ensure absolute accuracy in audits.
- Manage Sales Operations Compliance in alignment with NCC regulations, developing robust standard operating procedures for sales devices and retailers.
- Conduct weekly health checks and monthly governance meetings for Value-Added Services (VAS) to minimize customer complaints and vendor misconduct.
- Perform User Experience Tests and first-level reviews for new product developments (NPD) to guarantee optimal market positioning and compliance with quality of service KPIs.
- Oversee compliance activities across customer touchpoints including IVR, Call Centers, and the company website, alongside mystery shopping initiatives.
- Interpret complex telecommunications regulations, translating them into actionable internal controls, policies, risk registers, and remediation plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in compliance, risk management, or internal audit within the telecommunications or financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of telecommunications regulations and NCC compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing internal controls, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
