We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Process Design Engineer to join our esteemed technical services team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead engineering design initiatives, ensuring that all projects meet rigorous industry standards, safety protocols, and client specifications. Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and execution of process design packages for oil, gas, and petrochemical projects from concept to commissioning.
- Perform complex process simulations, mass and energy balances, and hydraulic calculations using industry-standard software.
- Prepare and review critical engineering deliverables including P&IDs, PFDs, equipment datasheets, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior process engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulatory standards, international codes, and company HSE policies across all designs.
- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and design review meetings to identify and mitigate operational risks effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in process design within the Nigerian oil and gas, petrochemical, or maritime industries.
- Proficiency in leading process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or PRO/II.
- Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, technical services, and project lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of international design codes, standards, and safety regulations (API, ASME, ISO, OSHA).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g., COREN, NSE) is highly desirable.
