About the Role
Alpha Bravo Integrated Services Limited is a premier provider of specialized solutions for the Maritime, Petrochemical, Energy, Oil, and Gas industries, offering advanced marine solutions, technical services, and precision engineering design. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Lead Piping Design Engineer to join our expanding team in Nigeria. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead piping engineering activities, mentor junior staff, and ensure all designs comply with international codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the piping design engineering team through all project phases from conceptual design to detailed engineering and construction support.
- Develop and review piping layout drawings, 3D models, isometrics, pipe support details, and material take-offs (MTOs).
- Ensure all engineering designs strictly adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Coordinate seamlessly with other engineering disciplines including process, structural, and instrumentation teams.
- Conduct design reviews, stress analysis, and participate in safety audits such as HAZOP studies.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality control oversight for junior and mid-level design engineers.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of demonstrable piping design experience within the Nigerian oil, gas, or petrochemical sector.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D, and Caesar II.
- Comprehensive knowledge of international engineering codes and standards including ASME, API, and ANSI.
