Key Responsibilities- Lead the mechanical design team in developing robust engineering solutions for offshore vessels, rig moves, and petrochemical facilities.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations using advanced CAD software.
- Integrate laser scanning data into mechanical designs to ensure precise fit-up and spatial coordination.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, technical services teams, and clients to define project scopes and deliverables.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant international standards, local regulatory requirements, and company safety guidelines.
- Review and approve technical documentation, vendor drawings, and fabrication packages.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence within the department.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering design experience within the oil, gas, maritime, or petrochemical industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ANSYS.
- Familiarity with 3D laser scanning technologies and point cloud data processing.
- Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO).
- Exceptional leadership, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Professional engineering certification (e.g., COREN registration) is mandatory.
