About the Role

Egbin Power Plc, located in Lagos, is one of the largest power generation stations in Sub-Saharan Africa, dedicated to meeting the rapidly growing electricity demands of Nigeria and its environs. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Lead Engineer, Boiler Field Instrumentation to join our esteemed technical team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring the utmost reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of our boiler field instrumentation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance schedules using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Provide expert technical guidance to engineers and technicians during complex troubleshooting activities and daily operations.
  • Update and maintain accurate risk registers, documentation according to IMS standards, and timely monthly reports.
  • Participate in spare parts planning, budget preparation, procurement, and equipment inspection activities.
  • Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) guidelines across all maintenance operations.
  • Assess team training needs periodically to optimize performance and handle initial human resources and personnel matters.
  • Act in a covering role for the Head, Instrumentation and Control when necessary.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of cognate work experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory capacity with direct exposure to boiler instrumentation and power plant maintenance.
  • Deep technical knowledge of instrumentation and control systems for boilers, turbine generators, and auxiliaries.
  • Proficiency in CMMS, troubleshooting methodologies, safety standards, and Microsoft Office suites.
