About the Role
Alpha Bravo Integrated Services Limited is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Electrical Design Engineer to join our expanding technical team in Nigeria. We specialize in delivering customized engineering, marine, and technical solutions to the maritime, petrochemical, energy, oil, and gas industries. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead complex electrical design initiatives, ensure compliance with international industry standards, and mentor junior engineers to drive operational excellence across all project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the complete electrical engineering design process for offshore and onshore oil, gas, and maritime projects from concept to commissioning.
- Develop comprehensive single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, cable routing layouts, and lighting designs using industry-standard software.
- Perform rigorous electrical calculations including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and sizing studies.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant international codes, Nigerian industry regulations, and client specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Review and approve technical documentation, vendor drawings, equipment specifications, and material requisitions.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to junior and mid-level electrical design engineers.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 13 years of demonstrable engineering design experience within the oil, gas, petrochemical, or maritime sectors.
- COREN registration is mandatory.
- Proficiency in advanced electrical design software such as ETAP, AutoCAD, and AVEVA E3D.
- Extensive knowledge of international standards including IEC, IEEE, and API.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills with proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
