About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading consultancy and human resource development firm in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and analytical Lead Cost and Project Engineer to drive financial and operational excellence across our projects. In this pivotal role, you will oversee cost management, ensure rigorous budget adherence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional project outcomes within the Nigerian economy.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and validate comprehensive cost, commitment, progress, and resource data to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain dynamic cost reports, detailed forecasts, robust budgets, and variance analyses.
- Track approved changes, commitments, vendor invoices, and expenditures against established control budgets.
- Facilitate cost meetings and effectively communicate financial trends, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
- Prepare high-level management reports while maintaining fully auditable financial and cost records.
- Coordinate seamlessly with project controls, procurement, finance, and on-site project teams.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience in cost control, project controls, or related commercial environments.
- Demonstrated industrial, construction, oil and gas, marine, or large-scale project experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data reporting tools, and strong analytical capabilities.
