About the Role
Industrial and Medical Gases Nigeria Plc (IMG), a sub-Saharan market leader in medical, industrial, and food-grade gases, is looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Instrumentation Engineer & Customer Engineering Service Personnel to join our expanding team. In this critical role, you will ensure optimal plant performance, drive process optimization, and provide exceptional customer engineering services across our operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve SHEQ objectives and effectively manage Electrical and Instrumentation contractors.
- Manage the rectification of failed instrumentation, calibration of specialized equipment, and troubleshooting of major control systems.
- Manage SCADA systems, PLC programming (Siemens and Allen-Bradley), and plant process upgrades.
- Ensure maintenance work is accurately recorded using the SAP PM system to identify equipment reliability threats.
- Participate in and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for failed instrumentation and control systems.
- Manage improvement projects focusing on instrumentation and control scope, delivering outcomes on time and within budget.
- Maintain all process instruments at optimal performance across all sites, requiring regular travel.
- Must be a Nigerian Citizen with an HND or BSc in Instrumentation, Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 to 12 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role within manufacturing, industrial gases, FMCG, or oil and gas.
- Proven expertise in Electrical Light Current and Instrumentation Engineering, Process Instrumentation, SCADA, and PLC programming.
- Prior experience working with ASU or CO2 plants will be a strong added advantage.
