About the Role
IOTA Group, a Swiss-based HR and recruitment partner with 27 years of international expertise, is seeking an experienced Lead Construction Engineering Support professional for our Nigeria operations. You will oversee the complete execution lifecycle of offshore construction activities, from initial engineering studies through site installation and final documentation. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, project management acumen, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a dynamic offshore environment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end execution of offshore construction projects including pipeline repairs, vessel modifications, structural work, and production facility upgrades
- Oversee engineering studies, tendering processes, workshop fabrication, and site installation activities
- Develop cost estimates, project schedules, and technical feasibility assessments for review and approval
- Lead contractor selection, bid evaluation, and contract strategy development in coordination with relevant departments
- Prepare and defend activity-related budgets with regular performance monitoring and variance analysis
- Validate contractor estimates against contract clauses and project requirements
- Coordinate logistics between offshore worksites and onshore bases for seamless operations
- Ensure full compliance with QA/QC standards, Nigerian regulations, and company protocols
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, punch lists, and system records in UNISUP
- Liaise closely with field operations teams to ensure efficient project execution
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Structural, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management
- Proven track record managing small to medium-sized projects and contractor relationships
- Strong understanding of offshore operations, Nigerian regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
