We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Law Librarian to manage our law library resources, provide exceptional support to students and faculty, and foster a research-driven academic environment at our Mowe, Ogun State campus.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, organize, and update the law library's physical and digital collections, including statutes, case laws, journals, and electronic legal databases.
- Provide reference and research assistance to law students, faculty members, and researchers.
- Conduct library orientation and training sessions on effective legal research methodologies and the use of digital legal tools.
- Collaborate with the faculty of law to identify and acquire relevant academic materials that align with curriculum needs.
- Maintain proper cataloging, classification, and circulation records of all library assets.
- Ensure a conducive and orderly study environment within the law library premises.
- Must possess a good Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science (BLIS).
- Must possess an LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) degree.
- Evidence of completion or exemption from the mandatory NYSC scheme is required.
- Strong digital literacy and proficiency in navigating modern electronic legal research databases.
- Demonstrated bias and passion for academic research within the legal discipline.
