About the Role
Christopher University, established through the vision of Translucent Management Services to bridge the gap between industry and academia, is seeking a qualified and dynamic Law Librarian for our academic library system. In this vital role, you will manage specialized legal collections, provide expert reference services to law students and faculty, and facilitate access to essential digital and print legal databases. Our institution prides itself on delivering high-standard education with a strong emphasis on practical corporate and public sector relevance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, organize, and update the law library's extensive physical and digital collections.
- Provide expert research assistance and reference services to students, researchers, and faculty members in the School of Applied and Health Sciences and related legal studies.
- Conduct library orientation and training sessions on how to effectively navigate legal research databases and citation tools.
- Collaborate with academic staff to ensure the library collection adequately supports curriculum requirements and research initiatives.
- Maintain proper cataloging, classification, and circulation standards for all legal texts and materials.
- Must possess a good Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science (B.L.I.S).
- Must possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree.
- Evidence of completion or exemption from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate.
- Strong organizational, communication, and digital literacy skills relevant to modern library management systems.
