About the Role
Caring Habitat is a premier 40-bed rehabilitation center dedicated to helping patients transition from dependent to independent living. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Personnel to join our dedicated support team in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron a variety of linens and garments according to established standard operating procedures.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, ironers, and pressing machines.
- Monitor laundry cycles and adjust settings appropriately to achieve optimal cleanliness and fabric care.
- Identify, pretreat, and remove stubborn stains while handling delicate patient and facility items with utmost care.
- Inspect all laundered goods for quality assurance, ensuring they meet rigorous hygiene and presentation standards.
- Keep accurate daily logs of laundry processed, noting any damaged or missing items.
- Clean and sanitize the laundry workstation regularly to maintain a safe, hazard-free environment.
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance requirements promptly to the Facility Manager.
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, softeners, and other supplies, requesting reorders in a timely manner.
- Assist with other general facility duties as assigned by management.
- Proven experience working as a laundry attendant or in a similar housekeeping role, preferably within a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Strong working knowledge of operating and maintaining commercial laundry machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle delicate garments with care.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate inventory and processing records.
- Residency around Ajah and its surrounding environs in Lagos is a strong advantage and given priority.
- Competitive monthly net salary of N70,000.
