Hospify House is a premier boutique hospitality venue and hotel located in the heart of Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. We are dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences, and our housekeeping team plays a vital role in maintaining our high standards of comfort and cleanliness. We are currently seeking a meticulous and reliable Laundry Assistant to join our professional team and ensure all hotel linens, towels, and guest garments are impeccably laundered, pressed, and maintained to perfection.
Key Responsibilities- Operate commercial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort laundry by fabric type, color, and degree of soiling prior to washing.
- Inspect linens and garments for stains, tears, or damage and report issues to management.
- Fold, stack, and organize clean linens and guest garments neatly in designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized laundry work area adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle guest laundry requests promptly and professionally with strict attention to detail.
- Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages to the housekeeping supervisor.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or relevant vocational certification in hospitality or related fields.
- Prior working experience in a hotel, resort, or professional laundry facility is preferred.
- Strong understanding of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and chemical handling.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy laundry loads.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
