About the Role
Amel International Services Limited, a reputable food manufacturing company established in 1987 specializing in baking lines and breakfast cereals, is seeking a talented and driven Research and Development (R&D) Supervisor. In this crucial role, you will lead our newly established, stand-alone R&D unit, operating independently of the Quality Control department to drive product innovation, formulation excellence, and continuous improvement across our existing and upcoming product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end development of new food products and the continuous improvement of existing product portfolios.
- Develop, test, and optimize formulations, manufacturing processes, and production costs to ensure market competitiveness.
- Conduct rigorous laboratory trials, factory-scale trials, and comprehensive shelf-life studies.
- Evaluate raw materials, functional ingredients, and packaging material compatibility for optimal product quality.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure strict compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with QC, Production, and Procurement departments to facilitate seamless product commercialization.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Food Science and Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of proven professional experience in food manufacturing and research and development.
- Demonstrated practical expertise in product formulation, process optimization, and industrial product trials.
- Prior hands-on experience working with powdered food products and dry blending processes is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing abilities.
