About the Role
1704 Avenue Limited, a leading design, print, and packaging company, is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Large Format Operator to join our dynamic production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining large format printing equipment to produce top-tier marketing and packaging materials. Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor large format printers, cutters, and finishing equipment efficiently.
- Review job orders, proofs, and specifications to ensure accurate output and color matching.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on printing machinery.
- Prepare substrates, load media, and manage inventory of inks, vinyl, and other printing materials.
- Inspect finished products for quality defects, ensuring they meet company and client standards.
- Coordinate with the design and production teams to meet tight deadlines and project goals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with industry safety standards.
- Minimum of OND, SSCE, or relevant vocational certification in Printing Technology or a related field.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Large Format Operator or in a similar print production role.
- Strong understanding of print file preparation, RIP software, and color management.
- Ability to operate machinery such as solvent, eco-solvent, UV, and flatbed printers.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy printing substrates when necessary.
