The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and qualified candidate to fill the position of Laboratory Technologist II (Environmental Sciences) (CONTISS 07). Key Responsibilities- Prepare and manage laboratory equipment and materials for practical classes and research experiments.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
- Assist academic staff and students with technical procedures, testing, and data collection.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of chemicals, apparatus, and consumables.
- Support departmental research projects and contribute to the overall development of the laboratory unit.
- Possession of a good honours degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Geomatics, Building, Quantity Surveying, Estate Management, or Architecture.
- Alternatively, an HND not below Lower Credit in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Must be duly registered or registrable with the relevant professional institute.
- Must possess the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) discharge certificate or exemption letter.
