About the Role
Rainbow Educational Services Limited (RESL), a reputable education management company operating Pampers Private School and Rainbow College in Nigeria, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to join our academic support team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional science education by preparing and maintaining laboratories for Physics, Biology, and Chemistry practical lessons. Key Responsibilities- Prepare laboratories for Physics, Biology, and Chemistry practical lessons and experiments.
- Set up, test, and dismantle laboratory apparatus and equipment before and after practical sessions.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all tools are in optimal working condition.
- Assist teachers during practical classes, demonstrations, and school examinations.
- Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Keep accurate records of laboratory materials, equipment usage, and inventory.
- Report damaged or faulty equipment promptly to the appropriate department.
- Support the procurement and proper storage of laboratory materials and consumables.
- Ensure the cleanliness, orderliness, and proper organization of all science laboratories.
- Assist in conducting internal and external practical examinations seamlessly.
- Minimum of NCE or ND in Physics, Science Laboratory Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc./B.Ed.) will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and scientific equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with teachers and students.
- Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications is an added advantage.
- Prior working experience in a school or recognized laboratory environment will be an advantage.
