About the Role
The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) was established on March 14, 2024, with the mandate to improve healthcare needs and increase specialized manpower in Nigeria. Evolving from the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, FUAHSE is dedicated to training innovative, skilled, and proactive professionals in allied health sciences. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Laboratory Assistant I to join our dynamic academic and technical workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Assist academic and senior laboratory staff in the preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, materials, and reagents for practical sessions and research.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper organization of the university laboratories in compliance with standard health and safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of laboratory consumables and report shortages to the appropriate supervising officer.
- Provide technical support to students and researchers during practical classes and demonstrations.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
