About the Role
Natural Girl Wigs is a premier beauty brand dedicated to producing natural-textured hair for Black women worldwide. We are seeking a meticulous and disciplined Laboratory Assistant to join our structured production team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out material processing procedures that determine the quality, texture, color, and finish of our hair products. Key Responsibilities- Execute laboratory processes including washing, prepping, texturizing, steaming, coloring, neutralising, conditioning, and drying.
- Follow approved SOPs for chemical treatments, processing times, temperatures, equipment use, and hygiene.
- Prepare chemical mixtures, baths, and solutions using accurate measurements and specified ratios.
- Operate laboratory and production equipment including steamers, dryers, hot water baths, digital scales, and mixers.
- Inspect processed hair for texture, pattern, softness, color accuracy, strength, uniformity, and overall finish.
- Keep laboratory workstations, tools, equipment, and materials clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with measurements, materials, and processes.
- Ability to follow SOPs and structured procedures consistently without constant supervision.
- Good understanding of safe material and chemical handling and factory safety procedures.
- Basic proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel for documentation.
- Previous experience in a laboratory, production, manufacturing, quality control, cosmetics, or hair beauty environment is a strong advantage.
- Relevant educational background in science, chemistry, biology, cosmetology, or a related field is a plus.
