About the Role
Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital (GOUNITH), formerly Ntasi Obi Hospital, is a premier university teaching hospital dedicated to medical excellence, education, and compassionate patient care. We are currently seeking a diligent and organized Lab Storekeeper to join our Laboratories department and ensure the seamless management of vital medical supplies and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and store laboratory reagents, chemicals, and equipment in accordance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using digital inventory management systems.
- Monitor stock levels regularly to prevent shortages and initiate timely reorders.
- Issue laboratory supplies to authorized personnel and maintain proper documentation of all transactions.
- Conduct routine stock audits and reconcile discrepancies with purchasing records.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for sensitive and hazardous laboratory materials in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Possess relevant academic and professional qualifications in storekeeping, supply chain, laboratory science, or a related field.
- Must be duly registered with the appropriate professional regulatory body where applicable and possess a valid practicing license.
- Demonstrate relevant post-qualification experience in inventory management, preferably within a healthcare or laboratory setting.
- Strong ICT compliance skills, including proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Exhibit high levels of integrity, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.
