About the Role
Livestock Feeds Plc, a reputable subsidiary of UACN engaged in the production of high-quality animal feeds and related products, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Analyst to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis in Abia State, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining product excellence, food safety, and regulatory compliance across our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on raw materials and finished animal feed products to verify quality and safety standards.
- Prepare samples meticulously and conduct accurate chemical and physical analyses using standard laboratory equipment.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments while strictly adhering to established standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Record, interpret, and report test results accurately, maintaining comprehensive documentation for quality control and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate closely with production and quality assurance teams to investigate product quality issues and support continuous process improvements.
- A relevant diploma or bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Animal Science, Food Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing, feed, food, or agricultural laboratory environment is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, sample preparation, chemical analysis, and data recording.
- Solid understanding of quality control protocols, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and safety standards including PPE usage.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.
