About the Role
Wertvoll Consulting Services, a premier hospitality consulting firm in Lekki, Lagos, is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client, South Merits Royal Hotels and Suites in Calabar, Cross River State. We are looking for a committed and hardworking Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic culinary team and help deliver exceptional hospitality experiences to our esteemed guests.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all kitchen equipment, pots, pans, plates, and cutlery are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment in the kitchen, scullery, and food preparation areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist culinary staff with basic food preparation, vegetable washing, and kitchen waste management as needed.
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal, and deep cleaning of kitchen appliances.
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report shortages to the head chef or kitchen manager promptly.
- Possession of relevant educational qualifications, SSCE, or hospitality training certification.
- Previous experience working in a hotel, restaurant, or commercial kitchen environment is a distinct advantage.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
- High attention to detail, strong hygiene awareness, and a proactive attitude towards teamwork.
