We are currently looking for a passionate and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our vibrant culinary team and help maintain our high standards of food preparation, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the chef and kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-organized workstation, including refrigerators, storage areas, and cooking equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations and hotel policies.
  • Safely operate kitchen appliances and equipment such as mixers, ovens, and commercial dishwashers.
  • Manage stock rotation, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages of ingredients or supplies to the head chef.
  • Assist with plating dishes and ensuring timely and accurate food delivery for Aarons Restro Bar and room service.
  • Perform general cleaning duties at the end of shifts, including garbage disposal and sanitizing surfaces.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), with professional catering or hospitality training being an added advantage.
  • Proven previous experience working in a commercial kitchen, hotel, or restaurant setting.
  • Strong understanding of basic food safety, kitchen hygiene, and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required by hotel operations.
