We are seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team and contribute to our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and organize ingredients for cooking in accordance with established food safety standards
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
- Support senior kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking processes
- Monitor food inventory and alert management to stock shortages
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols consistently
- Assist with dishwashing, food storage, and waste management
- Support meal plating and presentation under guidance
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment (training or prior work experience)
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
