About the Role
The Nook Apartments, a premier boutique luxury hotel and short-stay serviced apartment venue located in the vibrant commercial hub of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, is currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant. In this role, you will play an essential part in our culinary team, ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and maintains the highest standards of hygiene and food preparation for our discerning guests.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the head chef and kitchen staff with food preparation, chopping, washing, and organizing ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across all kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies, and assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Operate and maintain kitchen appliances, utensils, and dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support team members during peak service hours to ensure prompt and efficient meal delivery.
- Prior relevant experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment is an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with hotel staff.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic as part of a dynamic team.
