About the Role
Thronos Technologies Limited is seeking a reliable, disciplined, and safety-conscious Junior Truck Driver to support the logistics and transportation needs of our esteemed manufacturing client. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods, materials, and personnel across Lagos, various Nigerian states, and occasionally neighboring African countries.
Key Responsibilities- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering strictly to Nigerian road traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Transport goods, materials, and personnel within Lagos and undertake required interstate journeys.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with the safe loading and unloading of goods as needed.
- Maintain accurate trip logs, vehicle records, and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Interact professionally with company personnel, clients, vendors, and the public.
- Undertake occasional cross-border trips to neighboring African countries when required.
- Minimum of an SSCE/WAEC/NECO or educational equivalent.
- Must possess a valid Nigerian driver's licence and proven professional driving experience.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of residency in Lagos with deep, practical knowledge of Lagos road networks and major routes.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel interstate and undertake long-distance assignments.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and road safety regulations.
