About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is seeking a dedicated and qualified medical professional to join our esteemed institution as a Junior Resident in Restorative Dentistry. This comprehensive training programme is designed to equip medical practitioners with advanced clinical skills, leading to the award of prestigious fellowships from accredited postgraduate medical colleges.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality clinical care and dental services to patients within the Restorative Dentistry department.
- Participate actively in departmental ward rounds, clinics, seminars, and academic presentations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital standards.
- Collaborate with consultants, senior residents, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Engage in continuous professional development and medical research activities as required by the training curriculum.
- Possess an MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- Hold full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a current practicing license.
- Provide evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Note that a pass in the relevant primary examination of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African Postgraduate Medical College is not compulsory.
- Conditions of service and remuneration are highly competitive and similar to those obtainable in the Federal Public Service and Federal Tertiary Health Institutions in Nigeria. The position is placed on Salary Grade Level CONMESS 03 Step 02, offering an annual salary of N3,782,702.00 along with opportunities for professional growth in a premier teaching hospital.
