Federal University Lafia, established in February 2011, is committed to increasing access to quality education and comprehensive healthcare services in Nasarawa State. We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Officer to join our vibrant health services team. In this pivotal role, you will deliver high-standard medical care to students, staff, and dependents, contributing to a healthy and productive campus environment within a rapidly growing institution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient medical consultations, diagnoses, and treatment for students and staff.
- Manage medical emergencies promptly and coordinate appropriate referrals when necessary.
- Conduct routine health assessments, pre-employment medical examinations, and wellness screenings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records in compliance with professional healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement campus-wide health education and disease prevention programs.
- Participate in medical board duties and provide expert health advisory services to the university management as required.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Must possess a valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Must have successfully completed the mandatory one (1) year National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess an official Exception certificate.
