We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Resident Doctor in Surgery to join our vibrant academic and clinical team. In this role, you will work alongside esteemed medical professionals, contributing to advanced surgical care while developing your clinical expertise in a supportive, multidisciplinary university teaching hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality surgical care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Assist senior surgical consultants during complex surgical procedures and manage pre- and post-operative care.
  • Participate actively in ward rounds, emergency duties, morbidity and mortality meetings, and departmental seminars.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, clinical research, and academic activities within the institution.

Qualifications
  • MBBS degree or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Must possess a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
  • Current registration and a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Prior clinical experience from a recognized tertiary healthcare institution will be an added advantage.
  • Must be ICT compliant and able to utilize digital healthcare systems efficiently.
  • Demonstrated integrity, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
