The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC) is seeking a dedicated and qualified medical professional to join our prestigious institution as a Junior Resident in Clinical Pathology. Key Responsibilities- Participate actively in the Junior Residency Training Programme in Clinical Pathology.
- Conduct diagnostic laboratory investigations, analyze pathological specimens, and interpret results accurately under senior supervision.
- Manage patient cases within the pathology department, maintaining detailed medical records and adhering to clinical standards.
- Engage in departmental clinical meetings, research activities, mortality reviews, and academic presentations.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and accurate diagnoses.
- Possess an MBBS or MBChB Degree or equivalent medical qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Hold full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) alongside a current practicing license.
- Provide evidence of completion, exemption, or exclusion from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Candidates must be pursuing the Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCN), West African College of Physicians (WACP), or West African College of Surgeons (WACS).
- A pass in the relevant primary examination of either postgraduate medical college is an added advantage but not strictly compulsory.
