About the Role

Wema Bank Plc, a pioneer in innovative banking and financial services in Nigeria, is seeking a dynamic and people-oriented Junior HR Business Partner to join our team in Benin, Edo State. In this role, you will play a vital part in driving our human resources strategy across the South Region, ensuring our workforce is engaged, talented, and aligned with our corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive HR support and advisory services to managers and employees across branches in the South Region.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, seamless onboarding, and employee integration activities.
  • Drive employee engagement, corporate culture alignment, and staff wellness initiatives.
  • Support performance management cycles, talent development processes, and career progression frameworks.
  • Handle employee relations matters proactively and ensure strict compliance with internal HR policies and labor laws.
  • Prepare accurate HR reports and deliver actionable workforce insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct periodic branch visits across the region to maintain strong stakeholder relationships and address operational HR needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven professional experience in HR Business Partnering, Talent Management, or Employee Relations.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and modern HR software systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the South Region as required for branch visits.
