About the Role
e.Stream Networks is a leading Internet Service Provider delivering reliable broadband connectivity to homes, SMEs, and Enterprise customers across Nigeria using cutting-edge Fibre Optic, Radio, and Satellite technologies. We are currently seeking a proactive and technically competent Junior Engineer (Field Support Engineer) to join our South-East Operations team based in Onitsha, Anambra State, to support network deployment, installations, maintenance, and fault resolution.
Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Fibre Optic and Radio (Microwave) internet connections.
- Conduct site surveys and ensure accurate deployment planning.
- Diagnose and resolve first-level network faults within agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Perform preventive maintenance and quality checks on customer installations.
- Ensure all field activities comply with company standards and industry best practices.
- Document installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities accurately.
- Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate engineering teams.
- Work closely with third-party vendors and internal teams to deliver seamless projects.
- Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and operational procedures during field assignments.
- OND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in ISP, telecommunications, or network field support.
- Practical knowledge of Microwave Radio installations and RF technologies (PTP/PTMP).
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to work independently.
- Must reside in Onitsha or nearby Anambra areas, with willingness to travel across the South-East.
