About the Role
eHealth4everyone is a leading digital health social enterprise dedicated to making the world healthier through technology-enabled optimizations. We are looking for an ambitious and driven Junior Data Engineer with foundational knowledge of PostgreSQL and PostGIS to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will help build, maintain, and improve robust data pipelines and support the preparation of reliable datasets for healthcare reporting and visualization.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases to store, query, and manage large-scale health datasets.
- Write and maintain optimized SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation.
- Develop basic PL/pgSQL functions, procedures, and database logic under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Support the management, processing, and analysis of geospatial data using PostGIS.
- Prepare, transform, and validate datasets to feed Power BI dashboards and executive reports.
- Troubleshoot database issues, document data processes, and ensure high standards of data integrity.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience, including academic projects, internships, or hands-on practice.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and practical experience working with PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with PostGIS and spatial or geographic data processing is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of relational database concepts, data modelling, and ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
