About the Role
eHealth4everyone is a leading digital health social enterprise dedicated to making the world healthier through technology-enabled optimizations. We are looking for an ambitious Junior Data Engineer with foundational knowledge of PostgreSQL, PL/pgSQL, and PostGIS to support data management, processing, and pipeline development for our health information platforms in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases to store, query, and manage complex health datasets.
- Write and maintain optimized SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation.
- Develop basic PL/pgSQL functions, procedures, and database logic under expert guidance.
- Support the management and spatial processing of geographic data using PostGIS.
- Prepare, validate, and transform datasets to feed Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data from diverse sources while maintaining data integrity.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience, including academic projects, internships, or personal portfolios.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL and practical knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Foundational understanding of relational database concepts, data modelling, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Desirable skills include experience with PostGIS, Power BI, Python, or workflow orchestration tools.
