About the Role
Join Sixthlab Medical Nigeria Limited, a leading supplier of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, as a Junior Accountant Officer. In this pivotal role, you will support our Finance & Accounts function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and managing customer receivables. Your primary focus will be debt recovery and collections, ensuring timely payment follow-ups while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesDebt Recovery & Customer Accounts:
- Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices and overdue payments via calls, emails, and reminders
- Maintain accurate records of outstanding customer balances and payment commitments
- Monitor payment dates and escalate non-responsive or defaulting accounts
- Resolve account discrepancies and invoice issues that delay payment
- Reconcile customer accounts and ensure proper payment recording
- Prepare regular debt recovery updates for management
Accounting Operations:
- Record daily financial transactions accurately and timely
- Process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
- Post customer payments into the accounting system
- Perform customer, supplier, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain proper filing of financial records and supporting documents
- Assist with month-end accounting activities and financial reports
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' relevant accounting or finance experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks preferred)
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality
- Previous accounts receivable or debt recovery experience is advantageous
