About the Role
A & R Group Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to support our finance and accounting operations in Nigeria. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the finance team with day-to-day activities.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Assist with payroll preparation and related accounting documentation.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending payments.
- Assist with tax and statutory documentation as required.
- Support internal and external audits by providing relevant records.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Bachelor degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience in a structured environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Odoo.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Part-qualified ICAN or ACCA certification is a strong advantage.
