About the Role
ShopperMayor is a dynamic U.S. procurement and freight forwarding service designed specifically for Nigerian shoppers, bridging the access gap by enabling seamless purchases from major American retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Target. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing team at our Ajao Estate, Lagos office. In this vital on-site role, you will play a key part in maintaining our financial health and supporting our mission to connect Nigerian customers with the global marketplace.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate daily financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process customer transactions, cross-border payments, and vendor disbursements efficiently.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and payment gateway reports on a regular basis.
- Assist senior management with preparing monthly financial statements, budgets, and tax reports.
- Monitor cash flow and track operational expenses to ensure strict adherence to company budgets.
- Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal accounting controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience or internship in bookkeeping or junior accounting roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern accounting software.
- Exceptional numerical accuracy, strong analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
- Must reside within Ajao Estate, Lagos, or be within very close proximity to ensure reliable on-site attendance.
