About the Role
Teestone Hotel & Apartments is a modern boutique hotel located in the peaceful neighborhood of Ikeja, Lagos, offering exceptional hospitality just minutes away from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport. We are currently seeking a dedicated and analytical Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the financial integrity of our establishment by managing day-to-day accounts, reconciling hotel revenues, and supporting overall financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Record and maintain daily financial transactions across all hotel departments including rooms, restaurant, and bar.
- Assist in reconciling daily hotel revenue, POS transactions, cash collections, and sales reports.
- Process supplier invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and monitor outstanding corporate accounts.
- Prepare cashbooks, journals, ledgers, and assist with payroll preparation and staff financial records.
- Support monthly financial closings, stock inventory reconciliations, and internal or external audit processes.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- 2 to 3 years of proven accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting software or hotel POS systems.
- Exceptional analytical skills, numerical accuracy, and high attention to detail.
