About the Role
Dangote Group is one of Africa's largest and most diversified business conglomerates, with operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Regional Head Internal Audit for Nigeria to lead our internal audit functions, providing vital independent assurance and advisory services on governance, risk management, and internal controls across our extensive manufacturing, logistics, and industrial operations.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the preparation and quality review of internal audit packs for the Group Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (BARCC), Statutory Audit Committee, and Executive Committee.
- Support the Group Chief Internal Auditor (GCIA) in providing governance, risk, and control assurance across financial and operational processes in Nigeria and Pan-African clusters.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in conducting special internal audit reviews, ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management audits, and technology-driven audit projects.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies such as the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
- Manage anti-fraud committee reporting, review expense vouchers, and oversee departmental compliance and governance frameworks.
- BSc or HND in Accounting or a related discipline; a Master's degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Mandatory professional certification such as CIA, ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or IIA.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience, with at least 8 years at a senior management level within a top-tier audit firm or global manufacturing company.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, COSO control models, ERP solutions, and modern audit automation tools.
