About the Role
GIZ Nigeria is looking for a dedicated Junior Access to Finance Advisor to join our dynamic team and support the 'Pro-poor Growth and Employment Promotion in Nigeria' (SEDIN) programme. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging the financing gap for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and smallholder farmers by facilitating investment opportunities, organizing matchmaking events, and building strategic public-private partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Support the identification and resolution of financing obstacles for actors within targeted value chains.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with public and private institutions to enhance capital flow.
- Assist MSMEs in developing robust investment proposals and facilitate due diligence processes.
- Organize roundtables, deal rooms, and matchmaking events connecting beneficiaries with investors.
- Support financial institutions in designing appropriate financial instruments and products.
- Facilitate the establishment and strengthening of Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA).
- Prepare activity reports, contribute to work plans, and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Investment, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of professional experience in the financial sector or supporting MSMEs to access finance.
- Familiarity with investment facilitation, impact investing, venture capital, and debt financing.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian MSME sector and agricultural financing landscape.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
